Jeanette was born in Sweden 1962. She studied Art and Sciences in Stockholm 1978-81. Lived in Los Angeles 1981-83 and studied Interior and Environment Design at UCLA. Returned to Stockholm and continued her art studies Art-Nude-Still Life at Studiefrämjandet. She worked thereafter as an assistant to different well known Swedish architects and interior decorator.

Moved to Luxembourg 1991 with her husband and newborn child. She took a brake from her artistic life and dedicated herself to her growing family. She gave birth to three more children. Unfortunately her firstborn died of a brain tumor 1996. After four years of struggling with depression, burn out and declining health Jeanette started working on her exhibition LIFE 2003 dedicated to her first born. LIFE took five years to finish and the premier opening was 2007. 2008 she founded Semaphore Art Studios in the old Oetrange train station where she also have her studio. She started to work professionally 2011 as an independent artist and a new life began. Jeanette received Luxembourg Nationality 2017.

artistic approach:

Jeanette is a contemporary expressionist with a touch of minimalism. She swings between big and colorful movements to extreme and exact forms. Favors relative truths, personal experiences and an individual spiritual interpretations of the world. She seeks to depict not objective reality but rather the subjective emotions and responses that objects and events arouse within a person. She have been using art as a means of expression since she was a small child. Jeanette works with oil- and acrylic-paint on different materials, behind glass techniques, embroidery on paper, mixed techniques and installations.
